Muddy Cloth

Say goodbye to stubborn stains with these tips

Removing stain from your favourite dress is truly a laborious job and could take forever.  For people with busy schedule, combating with tough stains comes up as a burden with lot of intricacies. Stains from egg, coffee, oil, grass – every type of stain is sticky and gets darker over time.

Below are some do’s and Don’t to be kept in mind while dealing with stained clothes to ensure they fade away quickly–

1Clothing care tag. — Go through the manufacturer’s instruction
This is one thing that is often overlooked. Always remember to check the label of the cloth for fabric details and washing instructions.  For example, certain care labels do not recommend bleaching clothes or prefer a hand washed technique only.

soda2.— Soda as spot cleaner
Food, friends, music — parties are real fun. But one wrong splash of drink may stain your favourite dress. You don’t have to worry about that stain as long as you have soda around.  All you need to do is to pour some club soda on the stained area and rub it gently with a clean piece of cotton.  This is a simple yet really powerful remedy for removing stains.

Muddy Cloth3. — Mud stains
Kids love to play. Jumping in the mud, playing with clay, running in the grass create some happy and long lasting moments for the children. But for the mom’s, all they leave is a pile of dirty stained clothes. Never wash clothes with wet mud stains as wet mud spreads quickly. It is best to let dry the mud stain and then wipe it off using a spoon or toothbrush.

Getting oil stains while cooking in kitchen is very common. One good thing about oil stains is that they don’t stay forever. If you have spilt oil on your cotton shirt, rubbing a little alcohol or even acetone can do the trick. When the stain starts to fade, rinse the cloth in warm water and wash as per the instructions on care label.

Dress-Shirt-with-Ink-Stain5.—Ink stains
Inks stains are the hardest and most difficult to deal with. It is always advised not to wipe or scrub wet ink stain to prevent spreading of ink all over the cloth.  Gently try to blot the stain from the back with a clean cloth and soak excess ink from it. Using a microfibre cloth for dabbing is best recommended.
